“’Gold’ is one of the last songs written for this album. I came home from tour with my head spinning and decided to run away for a bit to the west coast and reflect/write about the last couple years. If you listen closely to the sample of me whistling into my laptop by the ocean, you can hear a wave that crashed while I was recording it
