The 32-year-old former ‘N Sync singer revealed he's constantly putting on an exaggerated personality in order to impress fans. “I try to talk to people about how much acting goes into music,” he told T, The New York Times Style Magazine’s latest issue. “How much of a character goes into what you put on stage. You ever sit down with Jay [Z]? “He’s not the guy he is on stage. I’m not the guy I am on stage. I am a performer. It’s an elevated idea.” The star has taken some years off music to carry out parts in flicks such as The Social Network and Friends with Benefits. He came back to his first love because he felt the time was right to deliver another album. “If you can answer the question of why you’re doing it, it’s the right thing to do,” he said about record The 20/20 Experience. “To answer the question ‘Why?’ for the first time in my career, is: because I wanted to.” Having achieved plenty of success at such a young age, the star is no longer concerned with beating other artists in the charts. He is now married to actress Jessica Biel and has other priorities. “You get to this point, which I’ve done in the last five or six years, where you become less worried about success and failure,” he admitted.
