Niall Horan has defended Miley Cyrus from vicious criticism of her X Factor performance. The One Direction singer was decidedly impressed by the 20-year-old pop star, who received scathing reviews for her rendition of Wrecking Ball on the programme's Sunday night results show. "I think even I could sing Wrecking Ball better than Miley Cyrus just did," one viewer tweeted, according to The Mirror. "Why was Miley Cyrus shouting down the mic? What a weirdo she is!" another wrote. But Niall logged onto Twitter shortly after Miley took the stage, applauding her act. 4music "Sick! @MileyCyrus was incredible tonight, what a voice," he wrote. The One Direction star was also feeling nostalgic while watching Miley from on set. Niall and his bandmates Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne first won fame on the popular TV singing competition in 2010. "It was great to be back home @TheXFactor today! Love that place! Seeing all the crew and contestants and Dermot! So nerve wrecking though," he tweeted. Miley later confirmed she wasn't feeling her best during the show. "Happy to get some rest. time to go be sicky," she tweeted..
