Hillsborough stood silent on Saturday afternoon in tribute to the fallen, but not forgotten, victims of football's gravest tragedy. At the Leppings Lane End, where 96 Liverpool fans were crushed to death 25 years ago, red roses were placed on white seats behind the goal. The name of every father, son and daughter who perished on that warm afternoon of April 15, 1989 was written individually on a card attached to each stem. The managers of the two teams involved in the Championship match between Sheffield Wednesday and Blackburn Rovers, Stuart Gray and Gary Bowyer, joined the players in the centre circle for a poignant minute of remembrance.LFC united
