Jason Derulo's latest dance-pop offering, is slowing becoming another big hit for the Miami singer: the single jumped up 10 spots to No. 40 on last week's Hot 100 chart, and its music video has earned 4.5 million views in less than a month. While the official clip features some acrobatic dance moves -- Derulo stands on his head in the video, 16 months after fracturing his beck! -- the singer has released an extended "dance edit" version of "The Other Side" video Billboard "As dancers, we worked hard to make the choreography next-level," says Derulo of the "Other Side" dance edit. "Due to quick camera angles and the need to tell a story, you lose most of the 'wow' tricks that would shock most fans, especially after coming off of my neck injury. This cut focuses on all the dance sequences, to really highlight the hard work." Indeed, the dance edit features less romance and more gyrating, as Derulo commands his backup dancers under multi-colored spotlights. Fans of that eye-popping headstand will also enjoy the various splits, flips and kicks included in this new version.
